Wintec saddles need no oiling and no waxing. That is the whole point of them. This is the bottle for everything else.
Wet the surface, apply the cleaner or a mild detergent diluted in water, then wipe over with a damp cloth. Dirt, mud, sweat and stubborn stains come off without a fight.
How do I care for my Wintec saddle?
- Rinse with water afterwards and let it dry out of direct sunlight.
- For stubborn marks, or on Equi-Suede, a small stiff bristled brush such as a fingernail brush will lift the dirt and restore the nap.
- If your saddle has leather girth points or a leather wear patch, clean those with saddle soap and dress them with a good quality wax-based leather balsam, and keep them away from excess water.
- Always use a girth with roller buckles on a Wintec saddle, and we recommend Wintec stirrup leathers with Wintec saddles.
- Gel pads can react with synthetic saddles. Do not use one in direct contact with your saddle.
- Water will not damage the synthetic sections. If you have been swimming in salt water, rinse with fresh water afterwards.
