Contains: an EASY-CHANGE Gullet Gauge, four interchangeable gullet plates and the fixings for fitting them in your WIDE saddle.

Please note: the 2XW plate is fitted as standard in your saddle.

Important: WIDE saddles take WIDE gullet plates only. Fitting a standard gullet to a WIDE saddle, or a WIDE gullet to a standard saddle, can distort and weaken the Elastiflex tree, and damage caused this way is not covered by our warranty.

How does the EASY-CHANGE Gullet System work?

The gullet plate sits between the tree points and sets the width of the tree from the waist forward. Swap the plate, change the width. The Elastiflex tree is supported by the rigid gullet at the head and has true lateral flexion, so it works with your horse's muscles rather than against them.

Genuine EASY-CHANGE gullet plates are engineered to be completely rigid, so they cannot spread or change shape under normal use and stay true to their size for their whole life. Non-genuine component parts are not accredited for use in these saddles, and damage caused by them is not covered by our warranty. Please see our warranty page for the full terms.

What sizes are available?

WIDE saddles take four interchangeable gullet plates, coded by size.

• 1XW, 255 mm
• 2XW, 270 mm
• 3XW, 280 mm
• 4XW, 295 mm

There is a 3 mm tolerance above and below because of the manufacturing process. Measurements are taken from the inside of the gullet plate at its widest point. They are for reference only and are not intended to be used for fitting. To find the right gullet for your horse, use the EASY-CHANGE Gullet Gauge and the advice of a saddle fitter.

What do I need to change it?

A long-handled Phillips head number 3 screwdriver. Most people find the first change takes a little longer than later ones. If you are unsure at any point, your saddle fitter or stockist can do it for you.
